New Monitor

OMG... my old AW 3D monitor looks tiny compared to this thing.

Best of all, it easily overclocked to 120hz.  MY GOD its like the best eye porn ever.

I'll run it through its paces and see how it holds up.  But so far so good.  If your wondering what kind of monitor this is, I pre-ordered it here as soon as pre-orders were up (felt like 6+ months ago).  Pixel-perfect version was free with it for just pre-ordering.  The wait is so far worth it.  Love my new Overlord Tempest OC!

OH NOEESS!!

Look what came in the mail today... OMG gaming overload!  Not to mention I am still working my way through ZombiU, ACIII, and NSMBU!  And lets not forget I also have Hitman on the PC... YIKES!!!  

Wii U - More Impressions

Anyway here's more quick impressions:

Likes:
- Miiverse is awesome!  It's more like Twitter than Facebook, except you can "Yeah/Unyeah" posts (similar to Facebook's Like).  You can also draw and the character limit is much much longer.
- Friend's list!  YES IT WORKS AND ITS EASY!  LOL
- The eShop is actually nice and working!  Unlike the 3DS when it first came out (a mess).  There's already so much games up on it!  I ended up picking up NSMBU (about 1.7 gigs) and ACIII (which is still downloading lol - 16 gigs)
- The Internet browser is actually usable!  You know how junky console browsers are so this one is a surprise.
- It has a download manager and it allows background downloading!  Yay!  It also has the option of letting you choose for it to shut down after downloads are complete.
- TV Off Play is the greatest thing ever!  The range is good!  I am able to play on the gamepad in any bedroom in the house which is great!
- Got a spare 2TB lying around and hooked it up.  Yay!  It works!  I misread and didn't see that anything over 3TB will not be seen by the WiiU which is the reason my previous attempt didn't work.
- Zombi U - I am enjoying it.  It's different and I don't mind the combat... yet.  The reviews on this thing is all over the place, but it might be something you'll enjoy.  The setting and atmosphere though is top notch.
- NSMBU - I played this game while lying in bed and its the greatest thing ever lol!
- Nintendoland - Need to try it with more people.  Though even with 2 players its good fun.

No Likey:
- Loading times... ugh...
- Miiverse was constantly down yesterday, hopefully it will improve as time goes on.
- Downloading is slow!!!!  I am just hoping its because of the flood of people coming into the service.
- My profile got moderated and restricted!!  LOL!!!!  I put my theincblog.com link on my profile and they contacted me saying its a violation... wuh!
- No TVii!!  I actually wanted to use it!
- MiiMaker is the same.  I wish they added more customization options.
- Doesn't work on controlling Receivers :(

Wii U Get!

Got the Wii U! Haven't tried too much yet though. But I can say one thing, prepare to see this a lot.


There's also quite a few things I'm hating...

- menu switching/loading takes what seems forever
- why can't I make folders!!!
- loading times in general seem slower
- my seagate USB drive didn't work :(

Wii U 2 days!

Can't believe I'll be playing it in 2 days!  I would be playing it midnight tomorrow but sadly my local Gamestop isn't doing a midnight launch.  Not even an early opening on Sunday.  Oh well.  Can't wait to play this... Too bad multiplayer is limited to local only... Guess I'll have to ask people to comer over.

Halo 4

Didn't get Black Ops 2 yet.  So for now, I am playing me some Halo 4.  What do I think?  Its a Halo game! Though I do like this episodic Spartan Ops thing.

Yay Back!

Hurricane Sandy hit and all sorts of chaos.  Gas stations with 3 mile long lines, people sitting and charging their phones in Targets, nothing open, the town fully dark at night.  Had no power for 10 days.  No Internet for 12 days.  Actually I shouldn't even have Internet now, but I found the problem outside the house and taped up the problem, until a tech comes Tuesday to replace the wire.  Looks like everything is getting back to normal, the gas stations aren't as crowded like a week ago.  I can finally catch up on tons of things.

Wii U - 1 Month To Go!

Can't wait!  After playing/watching in NYC Comicon, I am convinced it will be good.  Hoping to pick up my pre-order come midnight (assuming there's a midnight launch).  So here's what I've pre-ordered:

Nintendoland - Comes with the Deluxe, but the game is fun!  I am curious about Miiverse integration, but they haven't said anything about it :/

Super Mario U - Will end up downloading this off the eshop instead of a physical copy.  I never played the previous Wii iteration, so its like a whole new game for me.

ZombiU - I love Dark Souls/Demon Souls and zombies!  Perfect combination!  Plus loots!

Assassin's Creed III - Playing it on the Gamepad anywhere in the house yay!

COD:  Black Ops 2 - Getting it for the Wii U just because I can play anywhere in the house on the Gamepad...

Looking forward to The Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and Pikmin 3.  I might also double dip on Darksiders 2.  Interested (but not buying) Scribblenauts and Lego City Undercover.  There's also a few eshop games I am interested in.  Poor wallet :(

NYC Comicon 2012

NYCC was ok.  Once you experience San Diego Comiccon, this one seemed so small.  Plus there's more to see in San Diego.  So I am spoiled.  But it was still fun nonetheless.  Got to finally experience Wii U, saw some Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (WANT!), saw some cos-play (it wasn't as much and as colorful as SDCC), and checked out some toys (I wish I had tons of money).  Enjoy some pics!

LOL...  Well I put my pre-order down for Deluxe Wii U.  Can't wait till November 18!  Will be picking up ZombiU and Mario.  Most likely picking up Assassin's Creed 3 on it as well just because of Off-Tv play.

Guild Wars 2

Haha... I am like super hooked into the game.  It's freakin' Warhammer + World of Warcraft minus the monthly fees.  Just look how cool this is!

Sleeping Dogs, Darksiders 2, Guild Wars 2

Damn the last few weeks of August.  I beat Sleeping Dogs, which I recommend people play, especially if you love GTA style games.  I'll probably come back to it if the DLC they release is worth coming back to.  I am in the middle of Darksiders 2.  It has some bugs on the PC, but I am enjoying it still.  I love random loot games.  Finally, Guildwars 2 is now live (well the servers are down right now) for the 3 day head start.  I got a little bit of gametime until it kicked me out saying I had the incorrect password.  You can check out some gameplay below.  I made myself a little gremlin magic elemental guy.  Will stream more if I ever get back in.

Stuff...

Been awhile.  Already August and I have a massive backlog of games to catch up on.  First off, finally beat Max Payne 3.  Overall the game is alright.  Haven't really jumped into multiplayer too much, but from the little I played, it wasn't too bad.  Next games I want to (or need to) beat is Spec Ops: The Line, Skyward Sword, and Xenoblade.  I played a bit of Spec Ops yesterday and it didn't really turn out too well (I forgot the controls).

I'll trudge through it and hopefully beat it eventually.  Good thing I got this game extra cheap when it went on sale.  This week we see 2 big releases, Sleeping Dogs and Darksiders 2.  Can't wait for both.  Expect Live Streaming on both games this week.  I saw Sleeping Dogs at PAX and also played it at San Diego Comic Con.  After playing it, I wanted to play more of it.  In preparation for Sleeping Dogs, I went and watched the Raid: Redemption last night.  The action is awesome but wow, its Mortal Kombat bloody.  This is how the movie pretty much is (if you haven't seen my previous post before):

SDCC '12

And its over... The event is waaaayyy overpacked.  Still fun to see all the things there.  Never got into Hall H (where all the cool stuff were announced) because the line was literally 2 miles long.  Spotted several movie/TV stars and of course tons of cos-play.  Outside the convention there were parties around all through out.  Cnet/Gamespot were even giving out free drinks and food.  Good stuff.  Pics incoming...

I Beat Diablo 3

The beta is short.  Though will run through it a few times and hopefully with other people.  Some quick thoughts on it.

- Feels kinda like Diablo with a strong mix of World of Warcraft
- Its weird not having Scrolls of Identify and Scrolls of Town Portals
- Feels tooooo casual and tooo basic
- I don't like the limited amount of skills (I like lots of skills)... it's basically what Mist of Panderia is gonna be
- The crafting is cool
- Voice overs everywhere is nice
- SFX and music I like
- I like the graphics but its a bit cartoony
